“No valid plans for the future can be made by those who have no capacity for living now.” — Alan Watts

His goal is to share his love of the game and help every player find their rhythm on the court.

Vision for the Season

Coach Ross wants each player to become a well-rounded athlete capable of taking on multiple positional roles, including setter, hitter, and defensive player. His goal is to prepare athletes to adapt confidently wherever their volleyball journey takes them.

Off the Court

Born and raised in Oahu, Coach Ross carries the values of his Hawaiian upbringing and a “One Love” mentality into every part of his life. As a father of four, he has learned the importance of remaining calm, trusting himself, and avoiding panic when facing challenges.

Outside volleyball, Ross enjoys working out, cheering for the Washington Capitals, camping, gardening, and spending time outdoors. These moments of activity and reflection help keep him grounded and shape his approach to coaching.
