Coach Emily Cator’s volleyball journey began in her freshman year of high school, and she has been passionate about the sport ever since. With experience playing at the club level and as a high school team captain, she brings both skills and enthusiasm to her coaching role at No Panic Volleyball. Coach Emily specializes in setting and has coached multiple teams, including U12 and U11 club seasons and various No Panic programs.
Coaching Experience and Specialization
As a setter herself, Coach Emily emphasizes core skills such as communication, versatility, and resilience on the court. She also teaches players the importance of warm-ups and cooldowns to ensure safety and injury prevention.
Why She Loves Volleyball and Coaching Philosophy
Emily’s love for volleyball is rooted in the team dynamics, where every player has a role and adds value. Inspired by coaches who helped her grow as a player, she now aims to instill confidence in her players, encouraging them to embrace mistakes as learning opportunities.

Personal Interests and Fun Fact
Emily enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and creating art. A fun fact: she’s become comfortable using her left hand after injuring her right hand twice - once in basketball and again more recently, which led her to learn left-handed serves and attacks.
Vision for the Future
Coach Emily is excited to continue growing as both a player and coach, sharing her love of volleyball with young athletes and helping them reach their potential on and off the court.
