14-1 Boys Assistant Coach: Suchit Koparde
Coach Suchit Koparde brings a strong background in volleyball, having played at the high school level, competed with No Panic for a year, and currently playing for the GMU Men’s Volleyball Club Team. Suchit’s passion for volleyball began when he was 16, and he quickly became dedicated, even choosing volleyball over another sport to focus fully on his development. As a first-year coach, he is excited to impart his knowledge and guide young athletes on their volleyball journeys.
Coaching Experience and Specialization
This is Coach Suchit’s first year coaching, with a focus on hitting and jump mechanics. His goal is to instill a “play to win” mindset in his players, emphasizing exercises and practices that maximize improvement and competitive spirit.
Why He Loves Volleyball and Coaching Philosophy
For Coach Suchit, volleyball is not only a sport but also an outlet for stress and a driver for fitness. His coaching philosophy centers on continuous improvement, teamwork, and a competitive mindset. He encourages players to work hard and develop a strong drive and work ethic, preparing them for success on and off the court.
Personal Fitness and Hobbies
Coach Suchit’s fitness journey is tied closely to his love of volleyball. Through dedication to the sport, he transformed his fitness, reducing his weight from 230 pounds to 205 pounds. In addition to volleyball, he enjoys Pokémon TCG and singing.
Fun Fact About Coach Suchit
Before switching to volleyball, Suchit played competitive club cricket for seven years.
Vision for the Future
Coach Suchit envisions No Panic Volleyball as a program that fosters success and player retention throughout their volleyball careers. His goal is to prepare his players for advanced formations like 5-1 or 6-2 and help them transition smoothly into higher levels of play.
